Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Shadosen mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

License Grant

Shadosen grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the application on devices that you own or control. This license does not allow you to: (a) distribute or make the application available over a network where it could be used by multiple devices at the same time; (b) transfer, sublicense, lease, lend, or rent the application to any third party; (c) copy, decompile, reverse-engineer, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the application; or (d) modify or create derivative works of the application.

Description of Service

Shadosen is a language learning application that helps users improve their language skills through shadowing practice. The service includes features for listening to audio content, recording practice sessions, and tracking learning progress.

User Accounts

To use certain features of the app, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use this service. By using the application, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Upload or share content that infringes on others' rights
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the service
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code
• Use automated systems to access the service without permission

Intellectual Property

The Shadosen app, including its design, features, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the service without our permission.

User Content

You retain ownership of any content you create using the app (such as audio recordings). By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content as necessary to provide the service.

Subscriptions and Payments

Some features of Shadosen require a paid subscription. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the following terms:

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price you originally purchased.
• You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Prices are subject to change. We will notify you of any price changes before they take effect, and you will have the opportunity to cancel before the new price applies.

Refunds are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) in accordance with their respective refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.

External Services

The application may enable access to third-party services and content. You acknowledge that we are not responsible for examining or evaluating the content or accuracy of any third-party services, and we shall not be liable for any third-party services or content. You agree to use external services at your sole risk and in compliance with any applicable terms of those services.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or meet your specific requirements. We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. In no event shall our total liability to you for all damages exceed the amount you paid for the application, or fifty US dollars ($50), whichever is greater.

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Your rights under these terms will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any of its provisions. You may also delete your account at any time through the app settings.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms in the application. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tokyo, Japan.
